Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small records a website can ask a browser to retain and send with later requests. Local storage is a separate browser facility that retains values for a website without automatically attaching them to each request. Both can support preferences; neither is required for the reading, navigation or field-note functions implemented by this site’s own script.
The almanac’s content script does not set analytics or advertising cookies and does not store field-note contents in local storage. Any consent controls supplied by the hosting platform are separate from the field-note tool. Where such controls are present, use them to review or change the platform’s recorded choice.
What the page features retain
| Feature | Where information is held | How it ends |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile navigation | Current page state | Closing or reloading the page resets it |
| Scroll reveals | Current page state | Page closure or reload |
| Field-note preview | Current page and form fields | Clear the fields; browser restoration may retain values |
| Copy note | Your device clipboard after your request | Replace or clear through device controls |
| Download note | A text file on your device | Delete the file and any copies you keep |
Your browser can retain information too
Browser caching, autofill, session restoration and password managers operate through browser or device settings. Private browsing may reduce some retained information, but it does not erase a file you deliberately download or prevent a clipboard manager from retaining a copy. On shared devices, clear sensitive form entries and review downloaded files.
Managing preferences
Use your browser’s site-data settings to inspect or remove cookies and local storage for moxbejellytornado.site. Blocking storage does not prevent the core content script from displaying articles or constructing a field-note preview. Clipboard access can be separately restricted by your browser; the tool offers a manual selection fallback if automatic copying is unavailable.
If a platform preference is removed, its consent controls may ask for a choice again. Clearing site data does not automatically clear downloaded documents, email you have sent or clipboard history.
